Last weekend, our U14 and U15 boys participated in the IMG Showcase 2021 in the amazing facilities of the IMG Academy itself which is situated in Bradenton, Florida.
Our boys were excited to be able to participate in such an environment, even though the competition was going to be fierce.
The U14 were up for a challenge
Anyway, the U14 Boys started off their tournament in the best way possible as they were able to score three goals to none against Pinellas County. They proved they could create dangerous offensive plays and still be solid in the back of the field.
Afterward, they played against High Soccer Prospects, who created more successful chances and ended by winning the game. Anyways, our Boys did not play badly and put in a lot of effort, which is really important.
Finally, the U14 ended up their tournament in the last game facing them to Florida Premier. It was a really hard game for our Boys as their rivals were really efficient in both the offensive and defensive part, it was surely a big challenge for them.
Anyhow, the Boys couldn’t overcome their last rival but left the IMG complex hungry to participate in the next tournament.
The U15 came to play hard!
Moreover, our U15 Boys were also present in this really exciting IMG Showcase. They came with the same energy as the U14 in their first game.
They were able to overcome their first rivals, Florida Premier, in a 3-1 win. The boys played really well together, created many chances, and were able to find the back of the net.
In their second game, the U15 Boys faced a really strong Gulf Coast Texans. They tried to play the same game with the same energy as the first team they faced, but unfortunately, they couldn’t find the back of the net.
Finally, the boys played their last game against the second team of Florida Premier. Both teams played really well, created chances, and were well organized. It was a nail-biting game, unfortunately, the boys came up short of one goal, an end score of 1-2.
The most important thing is to continue learning and gaining experience in the tournaments in which we participate. Step by step we continue to improve!
