We are back at it with the tournaments in the USA as both U10 teams participated in the Space Coast Tournament 2020 on the 7th and 8th November.
The U10 boys started off their tournament in the best way possible as they were able to win 2-1 against the host team Space Coast United.
In general, the boys made great improvements in understanding the concept of ball movement and its importance.
“The team has been able to move the ball quickly without holding on to it too long allowing their game to be more fluid. All the coaches are very proud of the performance.“
In the second game, our boys faced Rise FC, a team they already faced and lost against earlier in the season, and were able to fight for a 1-1 after a stressful game for our coaches and parents.
The boys showed great improvements and strength compared to their last tournament. Training pays off.
The third game and ticket to the final were against Florida Elite and our boys were able to find a 1-0 win allowing them to reach the finals and to face Rise FC once again.
In the final, the boys played really hard and showed a great “never give up” mentality. It was a nail-biting game as the game was tied until the last minutes of the game.
Unfortunately, our boys started getting tired and allowed the opposition to score two quick goals, end score 3-1.
However, the boys impressed our coaches and we are delighted to hear that things are starting to take shape in the best way we can imagine, congratulation boys!
We continue to improve
Moreover, the U10 Girls also participated in the Space Coast Cup and put up a great performance as they were 1 win away from reaching the finals.
In their first game against FKK Krush Black, the girls had a hard time and not playing at full capacity and let the game slip away in a 6-0 loss.
Despite the loss, the girls came back really strong in the second game where they faced Space Coast United. They were able to dominate their rival by creating effective offensive plays and being defensively on point.
The girls scored 5 goals and opposition could not find the back of the net.
In the third game, the girls faced Florida Elite and were able to control the game as well.
Congratulation to our two U10 girls for giving everything once again, you are doing wonderful and we are looking forward to the next performances!
