B1 Soccer Academy USA is getting back to the normal routine as the majority of the teams participated in the Dimitri Cup from the 16th to the 18th January 2021.
Every team at B1 Soccer Academy USA is training hard every week to be better and to be in the best conditions to participate to weekend tournaments.
Our B1 coaches have been doing a really good job under the general supervision of Giancarlo Coletta, our Director of coaching.
The Girls came to defend their colors once again!
The U10 Girls performed incredibly during the whole tournament. In the first game, they faced Braden River and won 1-0 with not many difficulties even though the opposition played a good game. In their second game, however, the girls lost by one goal (1-2) against Florida West.
After that, the girls had a blow up as they won the next two games 1-0 against Sunrise Prime and 4-1 against Cape Coral, which led them to the Semi-finals against Braden River where they were able to win 1-0 and head to the finals.
Unfortunately, the U10 girls came up short in the finals against Cape Coral (0-3). The girls had a great weekend, winning 4 out of 6 games.
They had people play different positions and it was great to see how they reacted! We are very proud of their growth and development.
The U12 Girls had more difficulties during this tournament, partly because the opposite teams were quite strong. They lost their 4 games against Florida Premier, Cape Coral, Florida West, and Martin United, who are all solid teams known for their competitive playstyle.
However, the girls did not lose faith and battled in the silver semi-final against Labelle Heat and were able to win 3-0. They headed to the final where they, unfortunately, lost 3-0 against South Miami.
The Boy’s teams made us proud!
The U10 boys played their first game against Biscayne SC in a nail-biting game that ended in a 3-3 draw. Their second game was a bit more complicated as they faced a strong Juventus team, our boys fought but could not overcome their rivals (1-6).
Afterward, they faced Rise FC which ended up having more chances and our boys conceded two goals. Anyways, in the quarter-finals, our boys gave everything in a close game against Manatee but came up short at the end (1-2).
Moreover, the U11 boys won their first game by default because Pinecrest did not show up at the tournament. Their second game faced them to Doral West.
It was a close game and our boys have been able to create chances, the end score was a 1-1 draw. Later on, they faced Venice, who was able to score the only goal of the game against our boys.
However, the boys kept their heads high and fought in the quarter-final against Tampa, winning 3-2. We could not be more proud of this team and the progress they have made.
The way they work together and uplift each other is awesome. Unfortunately, they could not overcome Braden River in the semi-finals. Well done boys!
U12 to the final!
The U12 boys probably had one of their best performances in that Dimitri Cup. They were able to dominate their first opponent and win 4-2 at the final whistle.
The PSG Academy was their second rival who had a strong roster. Both teams played very well but our boys came up short (1-2).
Later that day, the boys faced Juventus and they played wonderfully. They were able to find a draw (1-1) against a strong Juventus team. In their fourth game, the boys faced Biscayne and it was a really close game.
Our boys played very well, building up actions and finishing. The game ended in a draw. They went onto the silver-final were completely dominated the Miami Barça Academy, scoring 8 goals to nothing!
Congratulations to all our teams, we are really proud!
